They are a top notch group of musicians. Always striving for perfection. They are the ensemble known as Quad City Flutes Unlimited.

Janet Stodd founded the group in 1983. She has played flute for fifty one years. Four of the original nine members still perform with the group.

There are twenty two flutists who perform Spring and Autumn concerts each year. They also take their musical talent to schools in the area. The organization also has sponsored scholarship competitions for young players.

John Rader started playing flute four years ago.  His musical background also includes playing the trumpet and trombone.

Mary Kae Waytenick is the Director. Aimee Prenevost is a flutist and also a very gifted singer.

The 30th annual concert will be on April 19 at 8:00 p.m. at the Rogalski Center on the Saint Ambrose University Campus. The special guest will be Phyllis Louke, a composer and flutist from Oregon.

Past performances for Quad City Flutes Unlimited include Friends of Chamber Music, Festival of Trees, Symphony in Bloom and the Quad City Mozart Festival.
