After spending weeks in the hospital recovering from his wounds, Davenport police say they have arrested a man in connection with a fire that burned two people.

On December 5, 2012, firefighters were called to a home in the 2600 of East 50th Street. Two people were found burned and were taken to Iowa City's burn unit with critical injuries.

At the time, authorities said the cause of the fire was suspicious, but wouldn't elaborate.

Police now say the homeowner is accused of dousing his wife and himself with fuel and starting the fire.

The suspect, 59-year-old Tom Kuan, is now charged with first degree arson, attempt to commit murder and domestic abuse assault.
