The winding down of the war on terror is resulting in some trimming of the US military. KWQC has confirmed that one command on the Rock Island Arsenal is offering early retirement.

Rhys Fullerlove, spokesperson for the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, says the JMTC is offering early separation packages to up to 200 people at the Arsenal.

Fullerlove says the JMTC currently has around 1,500 employees. The offer was made last week and employees have until February 5, 2013 to accept.
