Some changes are possible in a Galesburg development. Last fall, Galesburg city leaders approved the rezoning of part of North Seminary Street for new businesses.

But now, the developer is asking to do the work in two phases.

When it's done, the project will include a hotel, retail center and grocery store.

Negotiations on some of the land are still not complete. The developer is asking city leaders to approve a partial delay, moving forward with the hotel, but putting the rest of the development on hold.

Council members will discuss that request at a meeting Monday night, February 4, 2013.
