It's old time music, old time instruments, and old time fun for everyone. Four females who call themselves the Just 4 Fun Old Time Music Band. They are Linda Slack, Jean Duncan, Chris Clark and Sandy Koester.

The women play banjo, guitar, dulcimer, fiddle, bass, and other instruments. Recently, they wowed the crowd at a cozy coffee shop in Milan.

Some of the music they play pre-dates the Revolutionary War. It's old time mountain music. Barn dance music. Songs which can be traced to the Appalachian Mountains and people who settled there.

Linda Slack is one of the founding members. She started the band in 1994. Linda traces her roots to North Carolina and says she and her family enjoyed listening to this kind of music.

Several of the songs encompass ballads, hymns, and folk songs. The women perform at churches, libraries, weddings, and other functions. They have been called the "senior lovelies." Old time string band music. Crowd pleasing, toe tapping music, Just 4 Fun.
