The medical sector is a good place to find work in Iowa. Governor Branstad is looking to attract more doctors to the state by forgiving their school debt.
His plan would also increase the number of medical residencies in Iowa, and cut down on frivolous lawsuits.
Iowa ranks 40th in the ratio of physicians to state residents. Lawmakers still need to approve the governors plan.
