UPDATE: The boil order for the City of Fulton, Ill., has been lifted.

A water main break in Fulton, Ill. Has caused the city to issue a boil order. Residents who live on 13th Avenue between 9th and 11th Streets are advised to boil drinking and cooking water for 5 minutes before use, as a precautionary measure.

City officials say that water has been turned off so public works can repair the break. Once the water is back on, the boil order will remain in effect.

Residents are asked to call city hall at 815-589-2616, Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2013 for information about the break and what time the order will be lifted.
