The city of Dixon is imploring the state to moved forward with charges against former Comptroller Rita Crundwell.
Crundwell was sentenced last week to just over 19 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to stealing $53 million from the city.
KWQC has learned that state prosecutors have asked officials of the city for input on Crundwell's state case.
Dixon Mayor Jim Burke said he would like to see Crundwell back in court as Crundwell has pled not guilty to 60 counts of felony theft in Lee County.
If convicted, that sentence would run concurrent to the federal sentence.
