A new report shows Iowa's graduation rates are the highest in the country.

The Iowa Department of Education reports that more than 89 percent of Iowa's Class of 2012 graduated. That's up one percent from last year.

In the 2011 - 2012 school year, graduation rates rose in 172 of Iowa's 318 high schools.

Iowa's dropout rate has fallen to about three percent.
