The Fort Madison Police have arrested a suspect they say is responsible for a November 25, 2012 fire at a multi-use facility.

The Fort Madison Fire Department responded around 11:57 p.m., to the two-story building, they say housed apartments and a furniture store.

According to reports, the fire department extinguished the fire and rescued occupants from adjoining apartments.

In a subsequent investigation, the fire was determined to be intentionally set.

Police say 32-year-old Kristopher Robin Murie is charged with arson in the first degree and burglary in the first degree, both class B felonies, punishable by 25 years in prison.
