Due to the weather and excessive rainfall, the Morrison, Ill., public works department has declared a flooding emergency.

Reports are coming in that there are Several business on Lincoln Way experiencing flooding.

The city's public works crews are currently working in several areas sandbagging to keep the water at bay but are looking for help.

Anyone wishing to volunteer to help should immediately contact city hall. Volunteers are asked to bring their own rain gear, boots and a shovel.

Anyone who has concerns regarding flooding in their neighborhood, are asked to contact city hall at 815-772-7657.
