As spring quickly approaches in the Quad City area, so does the birth of two new Alcoa eaglets.

This year, as in the past, Alcoa is asking for help naming the newborns.

In 2009 a pair of eagles made their nest on the property of Alcoa's Davenport Works, located along the Mississippi River in Riverdale, Iowa.

A webcam was installed in 2010 and in 2012 alone, the camera had been visited over 12 million times by people from all over the world.

In 2010, the nesting pair fledged a pair of eaglets. With help from employees and the community, they were named Liberty and Justice.

An online poll in April, 2011, named the single eaglet that year, Freedom.

And last year, online voters named the three eaglets hatched; Faith, Hope and Spirit.

Company officials began taking suggestions this week and plan to post some of the best into an online poll about a week after the eaglets are hatched.

To suggest a name, or names, just go to the Alcoa Facebook page at facebook.com/alcoa, you can tweet your suggestion using the hashtag #alcoaeaglecam, or you can add your suggestion to the blog on the official Eaglecam website.
