JOB OPENING:  Sales Advertising Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION:  KWQC-TV6, NBC, the #1 dominant news and highest rated station 34 years running has a rare opening for an experienced high performing multi-platform media seller who is ready and capable to successfully contribute to the best station and sales staff in the Quad Cities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic sales demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a superior customer focused solution sales approach.
  • Be an expert negotiator.
  • Have the ability to grow shares with existing local and agency clients while developing new business across all media platforms. 
  • Be capable of demonstrating or developing functional literacy with  our state-of-the-industry marketing tools including Marshall Marketing, Kantar Media, Eckstein-Summers, Nielsen ratings, AdConnections,  Matrix, etc.
  • Must possess and demonstrate an ongoing and active sense of wonder, humor and a burning passion to be the best and win. 
  • Must have excellent communication, persuasion and presentation skills accompanied with a professional image.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The qualified applicant will have previous experience in media sales (television and digital media is preferred).  Power Point, Excel, Outlook proficiency and reliable transportation is required.   Must have a good driving record, valid drivers' license and proof of motor vehicle insurance.

EDUCATION:  College degree preferred
