Police need your help finding a man who they say physically assaulted a four-year-old child.

On Wednesday March 13th, 2013, Moline Police responded to an address where a child was located with bruises on his abdomen. The victim was taken to Trinity Medical Center, East Campus and was later airlifted to St. Francis hospital in Peoria, Ill.

Police believe the victim was restrained while being struck repeatedly in the abdomen by the suspect who was watching the child while the mother was at work.

A Rock Island County Warrant was obtained for 29-year-old Lateef Maurice Jackson.

Jackson is charged with one count of aggravated Battery to a Child.

Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities is offering a reward for information leading to the capture of Jackson, who police believe is now on the run.

Jackson is described as 6' 4", 205 pounds, bald with Brown eyes.

The Crime Stoppers tip line is (309) 762-9500.
