For many, the holiday is a great way to shake off winter blues and gear up for warmer weather. For others, it's a cultural tradition spanning generations.

Locally there are lots of ways to celebrate and people are expected to be out in force, making merry and providing a boost for the local economy.

Kelly's Irish Pub in Davenport is one of those places and it looks like people are really getting in to the spirit there.

People are starting to arrive at Kelly's and they're expecting big crowds throughout the weekend.

People from across the state come to the Quad Cities to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It has the potential to be a real boost for the local economy.
