WARREN COUNTY, Illinois – Two boys aged 14 and 15 are hospitalized after their vehicle driven by the 14-year-old crashed Saturday night.

The accident happened on 23rd Ave. near 170th St. in Warren County at around 11:30 PM. 

Police say the two boys, both of Avon, IL, were in a 1998 Dodge pickup truck when it left the roadway and flipped. 

The two were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the truck.  The 15-year-old passenger was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg, IL, and the 14-year-old driver was flown to OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL.

The 14-year-old is was charged with Fleeing and Eluding, No Valid Driver's License, Failure to Wear Seat belt by a Driver and other traffic offenses. 

According to the Illinois State Police media release, an investigation is pending "for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle."
