Iowa Voter I.D. Making Way Through Legislature

A controversial voter I.D. bill is making its way through the Iowa Legislature.

Earlier this month, Iowa House Republicans approved a voter I.D. bill and the full house will vote on it next.

Republicans largely support it, saying that showing I.D. is necessary to prevent voter fraud.
Democrats are opposed, saying there's little voting fraud in Iowa and that the bill would discourage minorities and seniors from voting.
Neither Iowa nor Illinois has a voter I.D. law.
