Public Forum On Floods Set For Modern Woodman Park

Updated:

On Thursday night, March 21, 2013, Quad City residents can learn more about flooding and how it impacts our area.

The public forum, Living with Floods, will talk about weather patterns, population changes, and other factors in dealing with floods.

The University of Iowa and the Iowa Flood Center will both give brief presentations.

Davenport Public Works Coordinator, Robbin Dunn says the city will also present its flood mitigation plan.

"You know some of that vision, where we started with that vision for the riverfront and maintaining those open views. How we look at that and how that design occurs so we're not impacted by floods."

The Living with Floods forum starts at 5:00 p.m. At the Modern Woodman Park sky deck.
