Of the more than 24,000 bridges in Iowa, around 5,000 are deficient and 1,200 are obsolete.

Scott County has a total of 349 bridges. Twenty four of those are structurally deficient and 44 are obsolete.

The state of Illinois has more than 26,000 bridges and more than 2,000 of them are deficient. They also say around 2,000 are considered structurally obsolete.

Henry County has 369 bridges. Twenty five of those are deficient and 19 are obsolete.

Overall, the engineering report says the United States gets a C+ rating for its bridges, which is an improvement from last year's rating of a D+.
