Northeast Community School District Voters Pass Referendum

Updated:

On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, voters in the Northeast Community School District passed the $7.5 million bond referendum with a 77.39% margin. The Property Plant and Equipment Levy passed as well with a 78.37% margin.

Superintendent Jim Cox says this will allow the district to proceed with the construction of a new state of the art science rooms, a fitness center and a new gymnasium with additional parking.

According to Cox, the vote allows the district to accomplish their goals while the community receives a reduction in the tax rate.
