As the weather continues to warm up, more and more people will be spending time by the riverfront in the Quad Cities.

This season, River Action is launching e-tours.

44 signs are posted throughout eight cities in the Q-C-A and all you have to do is scan a QR code on your phone or tablet while you are out for a walk or bike ride.

"So people can come out on the trail and learn more about the history of this area, the river, the riverfront, the wildlife, the flowers," River Action project manager Dan McNeil said. "Anything about the river."

In 2008, River Action created an audio tour that allowed sightseekers to make a call to learn more information but organizers tell us they made the e-tour because they're trying to keep up with technology.
