A Bettendorf house in the 6000 block of Eagle Ridge Road caught fire after lighting struck the attic early Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013.

Fire crews say the family was inside the home at the time the lighting struck.

They say the strike woke them up but the family was able to get out of the house without injury.

According to officials, four departments responded to the scene.
