Quad City Organization To Honor Boston Victims This Weekend


A Quad City organization is honoring those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings by encouraging people to "run undaunted" this weekend.

LIVE UNCOMMON, a local organization that challenges athletes to excel in everything they do, is honoring those impacted by the bombings by offering free registration for two weekend events.

LIVE UNCOMMON, with help from it's "launch engines" will waive and cover entry fees for two LIVE UNCOMMON endorsed events scheduled for this Saturday, April 20, 2013.

The Run For Renewal 5k in Davenport is a benefit for Project Renewal and kicks off at 9:00 a.m.

The Autism Awareness 5k in Bettendorf is a bike and cross fit event to support Autism Awareness. This is scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m. at Pleasant Valley High School .

The organization says all ages, paces, distance -- runners, walkers, bikers, crossfitters are encouraged to participate in both events.

Assisting LIVE UNCOMMON are Russell Construction, OS Orthopaedic Specialists, Trinity Regional Health System and Active Endeavors.
