Live Uncommon: a local organization that challenges athletes to excel in everything they do, is honoring those impacted by the bombings in Boston this week by offering free registration for this weekend's events.

There are two events, a 5k in Davenport to benefit project renewal and a 5k, bike and cross fit event to benefit autism awareness in Bettendorf.

Both are on Saturday, April 20.

"A LU call to all to stand up. Protest the evil deeds done by evil doers. And run," Live Uncommon president Michelle Solis Russell said. "That doesn't mean you have to run. But come out walk, bring your bike, bring your dog, bring a stroller and say you know that's not okay what happened out there."

Live Uncommon sponsors will pay the fees so everyone can "run undaunted" in protest of the attack.
