Morrison, IL Issues Flooding Emergency

The City of Morrison, Ill., has issued the following statement:

Due to the weather and excessive rainfall, the City of Morrison Public Works Department has declared a Flooding Emergency.

Public Works crews are currently working in several areas sandbagging to keep the water at bay.

Anyone wishing to volunteer to help should go to the Morrison Street Garage on Andy Brands Drive. Sandbagging will begin at 9 a.m.

Volunteers need to bring their own raingear, boots and a shovel.

Anyone having concerns regarding flooding in their neighborhood, please contact City Hall at 815-772-7657.
