Davenport Trial For Evansdale's Morrissey Delayed

The Davenport trial for one of the murdered Iowa cousins father has been delayed.

A domestic assault trial for Dan Morrissey was scheduled to go on trial today on charges of misdemeanor assault against his wife, Misty Cook.

Court officials say witness schedule issues forced the delay. A new date hasn't been set.

Morrissey also has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal conduct and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

His daughter, Lyric Cook, disappeared with her cousin, Elizabeth Collins, while riding bikes in Evansdale in July, 2012. Their bodies were found in December, 2012.
