East Moline's racetrack may be back in the game after the Illinois Senate approved a refined version of a gambling expansion plan.

Lawmakers approved two similar plans in the past, but Governor Pat Quinn rejected them, wanting more safeguards.

The refined bill would still add five new casinos and allow slot machines at racetracks, including the Quad City Downs.

However, lawmakers also added a ban on political contributions and addressed other ethical concerns.

The plan still needs the approval of the Governor.
