Local law enforcement are taking time to remind motorists to 'Share the Road' with motorcyclists and reminding motorcyclists to obey all traffic laws.     
     
May is Motorcycle Awareness Month and authorities say while the use of DOT-compliant helmets has increased significantly in recent years, there are still far too many fatal accidents where riders were not wearing helmets. 
     
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it's also important for motorcyclists to take extra steps to make themselves visible by using appropriate lighting, reflective gear and bright clothing.
