If you're having trouble landing the "big one" at your regular fishing hole, there's a new venue in the QCA to soak your lures. After years in the making, Lost Grove Lake is now open to the public.

The Lost Grove Lake has been under construction for more than 20 years. The land had to be acquired and the dam configured before it could be brought to life.

Conservation officers say it is ideal for fishing, camping, boating and hiking, and will remain a public hunting area. The lake is already stocked with more than two hundred thousand fish.

The entrance to Lost Grove Lake is located at 210th Avenue in rural Eldridge, Iowa. You can get there by taking Utica Ridge Road north of Davenport.
