On Thursday, May 16, 2013 at around 5:50 a.m. a dark colored passenger car made a traffic stop near 800 N. Chicago Street in Geneseo.

The driver of the stopping car is described as 5'6'', heavy set, bearded and approximately 30 years old. He was wearing a tan colored uniform type shirt and brown style pants. There were no department insignias on the uniform.

The driver of the stopped vehicle was not issued any police related paperwork and was not harmed.

Geneseo Police said in a release that it is recommended if anyone is suspicious of a potential police traffic stop from an unmarked police vehicle to follow the traffic laws, contact 911 to give you location, proceed to a well-lit area that is heavily populated.
