Augustana college held a drill Thursday simulating a mass casualty. The scenario, which first responders did not know going in,  was of three active shooters in a campus building. Dozens of volunteers played victims who were injured, even dead. Officials say it's a chance for a lot of local agencies to practice together something that could very well play out in real life.
'We don't run across that very often so anytime we can blend some kind of law enforcement response with mass casualty incident it helps our law enforcement partners and us as well," said Rock Island Fire Department Assistant Chief Jeff Yerkey.
"It's nice knowing they have something set up where they know how to respond and everything," said volunteer victim Elizabeth Gehrmann.
The agencies got evaluated on their response to this shooting scenario. They'll come up with an after action report to see where improvements can be made.
