BETTENDORF: Beginning Thursday, June 6, 2013, and continuing into August, 18th Street from Maplecrest Road to Echodale will be closed full-width to traffic for repaving and sidewalk reconstruction.

The east end of connecting streets Echodale Drive, Brookside Drive and the north end of Pinehurst Drive will be closed at 18th Street during the first construction stage.

The south end of Pinehurst Drive will be closed at 18th Street during the second stage.

Concrete construction and paint striping should be completed before school busses recommence their routes for the fall school session.

After completing the paving and reopening the street, the northbound outside lane or the southbound outside lane of 18th Street may be barricaded off from traffic for boulevard topsoil restoration and seeding.

This portion of the work will occur Monday through Friday during the hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and could extend into mid September.

The duration of construction is dependent on weather.
