Charges against a Missouri man accused of pretending to be a priest have been dropped. Police say he took advantage of an elderly Galesburg woman.

In March of 2012, 58-year-old Ryan Scott was charged with financial exploitation of an elderly person, theft, and deceptive practices.

Investigators say he pretended to be a priest.

Court records allege that Scott took money from the woman's bank account, had her take out a loan, and took various items over several years all amounting to more than $100,000.

According to the Circuit Clerk of Knox County, the case was dropped due to the health of victim in this case. She was unable to testify and the case was dismissed.
