Muscatine: DNR To Hold Public Meeting On Air Quality

Updated:

If you live in Muscatine, Iowa, the Department of Natural Resources is looking for your opinion.

The DNR is holding a public hearing about a state plan for particulate matter in Muscatine.

In 2011, the Environmental Protection Agency found Iowa's plan was not acceptable, causing the state to revise regulations.

There have been issues in Muscatine in the past. The EPA wants to declare a non-attainment area for Muscatine County, which would put stricter rules on businesses and potential developers.

The hearing is set for 2:00p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013, in the city hall chambers.
