Some major changes are in place for Wednesday night's Red White and Boom fireworks.

The fireworks are going to be set off Centennial Bridge because of the flooding. In order to do that, officials have closed down the Iowa bound side of the bridge and will shut down the entire bridge at 9 p.m.

Free parking is available outside Modern Woodmen Park. However, as of 6 p.m. Wednesday night that lot was packed from people either attending the baseball game or Red White and Boom.

City officials said they understand parking is going to be a challenge tonight for people

There are several parking ramps in downtown Davenport that people can use.  It costs $5 to park in those structures.

Meanwhile, the event has also caused some other street closures.

In Davenport, Main and 2nd Streets were shut down Wednesday morning. Officials also closed off  2nd and Harrison at 5:30 p.m.

From Pershing to Warren Street there are several parking garages available for use.

City officials recommend you park in one of those garages instead of on the street to help with traffic.
