IL Lawmakers To Discuss Concealed Carry Veto

Illinois lawmakers are heading back to Springfield next week to consider changes Governor Pat Quinn has made to concealed carry gun legislation.
Today, the Governor continued his message, asking lawmakers to adopt an amendatory veto he made this week.

"In that amendatory veto I said that guns and alcohol do not mix. That is a toxic mixture," Quinn said. "We don't and shouldn't allow concealed weapons in any establishment that has a liquor license."

Quinn says the issue is a matter of safety and his amendatory veto includes a ban on guns in any establishment that serves alcohol.
Lawmakers are expected to meet Tuesday to try and override the veto.
