Eight Citations Issued To Owner In Clinton Dog Mauling

Updated:

The owner of the dogs involved in the mauling that happened in Clinton, Iowa, on July 2, 2013, has been issued citations by the Clinton Police Department.

Captain Klaes of the Clinton Police Department says police have filed four citations for each of the two dogs with the court system, a total of eight.

According to police, 25-year-old Ryan Blume is being cited for: a dangerous dog, a dog running at large, no proof of rabies vaccinations and no proof of city license.

Now that citations have been filed, the city attorney will decide whether to issue an arrest warrant for Blume who has left the city and is now, according to Klaes, in Dubuque with his family.

The Clerk of Courts will determine when the warrant will be issued.
