Student Sells Veggies For College

Since federal student loan rates were allowed to double, college students are looking for creative ways to pay for school. One local student is making her way  with vegetables.

Lindsey Lippincott will be a sophomore at Iowa State. To raise money for school, she's selling fresh veggies at a stand in Davenport.
Her grandparents are retired farmers who still grow produce.

"Its a way to show me I have to work to get it so when I get out of college it's not like, 'oh, I need to work,'" said Lippincott. "I'm doing it along the way."

Lindsey heads back to school August 16th but if you're driving along West Kimberly, you can still pick up fresh produce seven days a week.
