Area Kids Compete In Brady Street Stadium Games

Updated:

About 600 elementary schoolers got together today to play and compete at the Brady Street Stadium Games.

Stepping Stones coordinates the event. Students competed in timed running, an obstacle course, long jump, and new this year, a timed shoe tying event.

"The thing I like best is it does gives students an opportunity who normally don't have an opportunity to compete," said Nathan Fisher, P.E. Teacher at Harrison Elementary. "And you know we have probably four or 500 kids out here right now who are spending almost four hours doing activities."

This year seven schools are participating in the summer Stepping Stones program.

Today wrapped up the third year of the Brady Street Games and organizers say the games continue to grow every year.
