Mississippi Valley Fair Sees Great Turnout

Updated:

From the attractions to the entertainment, and of course the food-the Mississippi Valley Fair never disappoints.

People from all over come to the fair. Whether it's to see antique tractors or exotic animals. Bob Fox, general manager for the fair says it's something they plan for a year in advance

"We had some great grounds entertainment this year from the alligators to dog shows to karate shows. I mean they were all new fresh stuff," he said.

Fox has been managing the fair for over 20-years. He says the turnout this summer is better than last year. They've seen a 25-percent increase of people coming in, and he says that's partly because of recent cool temps.

"You can't beat 75-80 degrees, it's pure fair weather. So beautiful weather brings them out. See we've sold so many fun cards we know we got a lot of fun cards out there over 25,000 of them," said Fox.

And although it's the last day. People say it's the overall atmosphere that keeps them coming back every year.
