Police Say Dog Attacks Woman In Clinton


A 31-year-old Clinton, Iowa woman is at the University of Iowa Hospitals this afternoon, recovering from a dog attack.

Police say Destony Payton was sitting on the curb in the 2200 block of North 6th Street in Clinton, just before midnight, Sunday night, August 5, 2013, when she was attacked by a loose dog.

The dog is still at large, described as short-haired, stocky, a dark color,  wearing a blue collar.

Police ask that you call them if you see a dog matching this description.
