Heroin Arrest Made At I-80 Truck Stop

On Sunday August 4, 2013, around 5:30 p.m., Walcott Police, Walcott Fire Department and Durant Ambulance service were called to the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa for an unconscious and unresponsive female in the parking lot.  

Responding personnel transported the 21-year-old female to the hospital to be treated for a possible drug overdose.   

Upon investigation, 15 individually packaged bags of heroin totaling approximately 3 grams were found in a vehicle related to the incident, along with eight needles, three spoons with heroin residue and multiple lighters.  

Michael J. Aagesen, age 26 of Ames, Iowa was subsequently charged with the following crimes and taken to the Scott County Jail with a $10,000 bond set.   
 
One count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a class C felony; one count of possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense, a class D felony; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia misdemeanor; and one count of prohibited acts misdemeanor.
