Clinton Police responded Tuesday afternoon, August 6, 2013, to a report of two people, armed with hand guns, burglarizing a home in the 1200 block of South Ninth Street.

Officers were called to the scene just after 4:00 p.m.

They say suspect, 21-year-old Shawn T. Jones was being detained by several people in the home.

Jones was treated and released for injuries, then charged with first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm as a felon.

During the investigation, police did recover a hand gun near the scene.

A second suspect ran as police arrived and he's still on the loose Wednesday morning.

He is described by police as a black male who was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clinton Police at (563) 243-1458 or Crime Stoppers at (563) 242-6595.
