Friendly Wager Made Between QCA & Louisville, Ky.

Updated:

There's a competition going on at Modern Woodmen Park. Bragging rights are up for grabs and the stakes just got a little higher.

USA Today is conducting on-line voting for a variety of "Top 10" categories with the home of the Quad City River Bandits in the running for best minor league ballpark.

Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport and the Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Ky., have been going back and forth between number one and number two for the last several days.

Now, to add a little excitement as the voting draws to a close, a challenge has been made between the two cities.

Joe Taylor from the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau and his rival Jim Wood, the CVB Director in Louisville have made a friendly wager.

If Louisville wins, Taylor will put a Louisville Slugger baseball bat on his desk for a week.

If Davenport wins, Wood will put a toy John Deere tractor on his desk for a week.

Voting ends at noon on Monday, August 12, 2013. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
