UPDATE: 12:34 p.m. - Davenport Police were called to a robbery at the DuTrac Credit Union, located at 3100 West Kimberly Road in Davenport, Iowa, around 8:54 Friday morning, August 9, 2013.

The suspect had fled, but a possible vehicle description as well as a description of the suspect was taken and passed along to all area law enforcement.

Shortly after this information was delivered, a Davenport Police officer observed a vehicle and occupant matching the description heading for Centennial Bridge.

According to police, the officer notified dispatch and requested of the Rock Island Police Department to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped in Rock Island and the driver was identified as 51-year-old Duane Maulding.

Maulding was taken into custody and interviewed by Davenport Police and the FBI.

He is currently being held on a parole violation and is awaiting a Grand Jury hearing on the robbery at DuTrac Credit Union.

Police say Maulding also became a person of interest in the Ascentra Credit Union Robbery at 1515 West 53rd St in Davenport which occurred on July 2nd, 2013 at 9:38 am.  

Evidence linking to Maulding to this crime was located during a search of his residence.  

UPDATE: 11:25 a.m. -  Police are not releasing a lot of details, but they do say they have a person of interest in custody.

ORIGINAL: Davenport Police are investigating a bank robbery at DuTrac Credit Union, 3100 West Kimberly Rd. in Davenport.

The branch remains closed while police process the scene. Customers are being asked to use the 53rd Street location.

We are waiting for confirmation from authorities that the suspect has been captured in Rock Island.
