Should schools have sprinkler systems for fire safety? It's an issue that has come to light now that the Davenport school board  approved a new sprinkler system for Lincoln Elementary, even though the district closed the school.

Administrators tell us elementary schools don't have to have sprinkler systems, but pre-schools do. The building now houses a federal head start preschool program.

The district still owns and maintains the building.
