Hwy 61 Coalition Outlines Plan

The Highway 61 Coalition is pushing for a four-lane project along southeast Iowa.

An informational meeting on the plan was held Tuesday night, August 13, 2013.

Some southeast Iowa counties are expecting an increase of trucks on the road since there will be a new fertilizer project along the highway.

And now the Highway 61 Coalition is requesting that 35 miles turn into four lanes to accommodate the additional traffic expected.

The public can give their opinion at the last public meeting in Mason City on October 8, 2013.
