Davenport leaders will take on redevelopment plans for the former dock restaurant on the riverfront. The proposed plan calls for a $27-million private investment in a four-story building to house restaurants and offices.

Currently, the building is only two stories tall and some are concerned expanding it will block river views.

The developer says four stories are necessary to address flooding issues but hope to work with the community to address their concerns.

"We'll be glad to inform the people that need to know and we'll be glad to show our design that we've done with the past recommendations and past meetings," said developer Todd Raufeisen. "If they've had recommendations and concerns we've made the adjustments to satisfy those concerns."

The dock is also on the agenda for Davenport council.
