Davenport Police have announced two arrests in a home burglary and they believe the suspects are connected to a series of other break-ins in the area.

Over the past few weeks, at least seven homes in Bettendorf have been targeted by thieves.

In all the cases, they come at night, enter through unlocked doors, or cut through the screens of open windows and steal items while homeowners are sleeping.

Davenport Police reported similar burglaries.

On Thursday, August 15, 2013, police arrested two men in connection with a break-in at a home on east 44th Street Court in Davenport.

Arrested were 22-year-old Justin James Wesly Butler and a 28-year-old Ronald Lam Jr.

Police were able to track the suspects through a stolen ATM card.

Police have not charged them in the other break-ins, but believe the men are responsible for up to 16 other thefts.
