Suspected Child Abuser Arrested In Dubuque After Six Weeks On The Run

After nearly six weeks on the run, a man wanted for injuring a toddler is now behind bars.   

Troy Laufenberg of Monona, Iowa was arrested Saturday night, August 24, 2013 in Dubuque.  

He's accused of shaking an 18-month-old girl so violently that she now has brain damage.

Laufenberg was arrested at a Road Ranger gas station on Central Avenue.   

Agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation picked him up and transported him to the Dubuque County Jail.
